Black Mountain main house & gite is situated in a quiet hamlet in the foothills of the black mountains, with its stunning views and abundance of wildlife. There is a large lawned garden with garden furniture, and bbq all overlooking beautiful countryside. The rear gate leads out onto woodland tracks, through shallow rivers and deep up into the dense pine forests of the black mountains. Explore the miles of unspoilt countryside, and admire the breathtaking scenery, by walking the miles of ancient Breton pathways linking each tiny mountain hamlet.
For those who prefer a challenge, the numerous steep tracks are ideal for mountain biking, and with the beautiful Nantes to Brest canal just a few minutes away, you have the choice of leisurely cycling, which is the ideal way to appreciate your surroundings.
The gite is electric heated (winter bookings only, 1st October to 31st March) and furnished to a very high standard. The gite accommodation comprises:

About the location
As Guernazou is only 40 mins from most coastlines, this an ideal location to explore the whole of Brittany.
There are numerous medieval towns to explore, and wonderful churches, museums and art galleries to visit in the area.
The village of St Hernin is a couple of miles away, with its church, natural springs, shop, bars, post office and free tennis courts.
The town of Carhaix is just seven miles away, with its brand new swimming pool, with tunnel water slide and adult Jacuzzi, as well as go carting and bowling there is a golf course and adventure assault courses for adults and children. There are numerous shops and restaurants, and market day is on a Saturday, selling fresh farm produce.
Gourin is just four miles away, with outdoor swimming pool, restaurants, shops and market day is on a Monday.
It is approximately 1 hr to Brest, 2hrs to St Malo, 2hrs to Dinard, 1 hr to Roscoff and 4 hrs to Caen and Cherbourg.
