Owl Cottage
La Brehaudais Gites is a small, friendly, family run holiday cottage complex comprising of 2 holiday cottages, in a large plot of 3,250 m2.
Both cottages were created from a 200 yr old barn retaining many of the original oak beams. With a summer house, garden furniture for eating al-fresco from the BBQ and south facing lawn, often we have sunshine all day long.
Both Kestrel and Owl cottage have everything you will need for a comfortable relaxed stay for the whole family. Travel cot , high chair and bedding available for your little one on request.
We are central to many wonderful attractions and breathtaking views of Brittany. Surrounded by the beautiful Brittany countryside, enthusiastic ramblers and cyclists can investigate the lanes and paths to their hearts content. We have cycles for our guests to make use of at no extra cost. On our web site we now list no less than 16 golf courses within a 50 mile radius of the holiday cottages, 7 of which are less than 30 miles away.
We also, now have an above ground pool which the children seem to love and parents are happy that thier children can not just wander into the pool with it being above ground, it is 20 ft x 12 ft, lots of fun for all the family.
Situated between Broons and Caulnes both towns have good shopping facilities. There is an excellent modern ‘Super U’ Supermarket just 4 km away in Broons.
Broons also has a weekly market, on Wednesdays, an open-air swimming pool from May to September, bars, cafés, bakers and butchers etc.
We are located just 20 minutes from the ancient town of Dinan, with its ramparts and gateways and has exceptional examples of corbelled and half- timbered 15/16th century houses, a belfry, churches and a convent. Here you can peruse the many shops and restaurants, or you may wish to visit the River Rance at Port Dinan, and amble along the riverside, where the views are breathtaking. There are boats, canoes and bicycles for hire, there is also a regular riverboat service from the quay that operates to, the ancient fortress town of St. Malo, certainly worth a visit.
Alternatively, you will only be twenty minutes away from the inland lakes of Jugon-les-Lacs or St-Launeuc. Both are beauty spots and have Bathing, Boating, and Fishing facilities.
If you wish to take a trip to the Seaside Beaches, La Brehaudais Gites is within easy reach of the sandy un-crowded beaches of Dinard, St.-Jacut-de-la-Mer or St.-Cast-le -Guildo.
For even more stunning views and serious shopping opportunities you will find St Brieuc just 30 min's away.
Another local attraction is the magnificent Mont St. Michel, Just seeing it close up takes your breath away but you have to wander through it's cobbled streets to really appreciate the magnificence of the place.
