Chateau St Surin
Chateau de St Surin is in a unique position on the border where the Dordogne meets the Lot et Garonne; the River Dropt, which is a tributary of the Garonne River, runs through the park and acts as the boundary between these departments.
This splendid family house is furnished predominantly with beautiful antiques and objets d’art, providing an extremely high standard of comfort within the large and elegant rooms. The grand salon has a beautiful plasterwork ceiling and a marble fireplace, whilst the dining room, originally the kitchen in medieval times, has been restored in keeping with its origins.
Behind the Chateau, the swimming pool is surrounded by pretty herbaceous flowerbeds and the large summer house is fully equipped for alfresco living. The superb accommodation and the secluded location of this property combine comfort and relaxation in an atmosphere of exceptional peace and quiet. ACCOMMODATION Ground Floor:
Entrance to main hall with original beamed walls and polished wood floor scattered with rugs. Archway to further attractive reception hall with door to the front and staircase to the first floor.
The grand salon is furnished with elegant antique furniture in pretty shades of lemon and turquoise. From here french doors give access to the rear garden and park.
The dining room is located in the oldest part of the Chateau and the original stone arrow-slit windows and fireplace have been retained in this charming and historic room.
Across the hall from the dining room is a very large and extremely well equipped kitchen which overlooks the front of the Chateau to the east and the gardens to the west. Behind the kitchen a small vestibule leads to a laundry room and a washroom and gives access to the rear garden.
The large family sitting room has plenty of comfortable sofas, a television and wood burning stove.
On the other side of the house, in the east wing, there are four bedrooms: -An extremely large double bedroom with a four-poster bed, antique furniture and views over the park; en suite shower room with basin and WC. -Two very attractively decorated, well furnished and carpeted twin bedrooms with views to the front. - A double bedroom with pretty canopied bed, built-in wardrobe and views over the park.

First Floor:
Master bedroom with double bed and antique furniture, overlooking the park; superb en suite bathroom with large oval bath, twin basins, bidet and WC. Extremely spacious second master bedroom with canopied double bed, built-in wardrobes and exposed beams; en suite shower room with basin and WC.
