Many nearby great places to visit including the Lac de Gurcon with its sandy beach where one can swim, windsurf, hire a boat or pedalo, Bergerac, St Emillion, Sainte Foy La Grande, Eymet etc. The great centres of Bordeaux and Perigueux can be reached within the hour. Superb Golf Course (Chateau de Vigier) within 4 km. Large outdoor Go Kart Track 6 km.
Superb Golf Course 5 kilometres at Chateau de Vigiers at Monestier - Château des Vigiers is a holiday course which all golfers can enjoy, but it can easily be made very challenging for the experienced golfer. Even if Golf is not of interest, there are 2 excellent restaurants overlooking the beautiful lake and surrounding area. At the less formal Brassier, you can eat outside on the terrace in the shade of the trees. A visit definitely recommended.
Other sporting facilities are available on the estate including swimming, tennis, cycling and fishing. Horse-riding can be organised nearby.
Outdoor Go Kart circuit (arrive & drive) 6km on the road to Bergerac. Paint balling & canoeing . Fun for all the family or group. Lac du Gurcon - sandy beaches, hire a boat or pedalo, picnic under the trees or eat at one of the several lakeside restaurants.
Sainte Foy La Grande - Medieaval town with colonaded square, excellent restaurants and bars. Boat trips on the Dordogne river and superb Saturday Market.
