Do you want to play golf, row a boat, surf in the ocean, or lie on the beach and you are looking for a quiet and comfortable place for your holidays?House Duchesse offers these possibilities! The greens and driving range of the Golf Course of Mimizan are directly opposite the house. Just cross the road and you can play here at very attractive rates! Lake Aureilhan, at a walking distance of just 250 m. behind the house, is a lovely lake: perfect for swimming, sailing, rowing and fishing, or to make a stroll along the lovely “Route Fleurie”. At the Club Nautique you can hire a rowing- or sailing boat.You can see the lake from the house.House Duchesse lays on the road from Mimizan to Sainte Eulalie, 2 km. away from the village of Mimizan, opposite the Mimizan Golf Course, in a quiet setting amidst the forests of Les Landes, with a nice view on the golf course, the forest and sea dunes.The beaches of the Atlantic Ocean in Mimizan Plage are 6 km. away driving by car, or 4 km. on bike. A cycle path lies in front of the garden. Mimizan Plage is a nice sea-side resort on the Atlantic Ocean, with beautiful white beaches and a popular place for surfers. In the house, located on the former property of Château Woolsack, built in South African style by the Duke of Westminster in 1910, were previously the horse stables of the Château.Since then the house was completely transformed into a spacious, charming living house with a special character: the outside with its double doors still reminding the stables, the interior in chalet style. The living room with dining corner, the sitting room around the fireplace, the dining room, kitchen, washing kitchen, shower room and the master bedroom are on the ground floor. 3 Bedrooms, a mezzanine and a bathroom are on the first floor.The house is well furnished and nicely decorated and can accommodate up to 10/11 people. The spacious enclosed 3500 m2 garden with courtyard, lawns and terraces around and big trees to sit in the shade, offers a perfect setting for outdoor living. BBQ and garden furniture are part of the arrangements.
