Beautiful stone built house with private swimming pool set in the stunning countryside of the Perigord Noir region of the Dordogne. Large sitting areas, fabulous kitchen, three ensuite double bedrooms (two with showers and one with bath) and your own private pool set in landscaped gardens.  Doors out onto a large sunny south-facing terrace with BBQ all overlooking the swimming pool and woods beyond

Les Eyzies with its world famous prehistoric caves and cave paintings is just a few minutes drive as is the attractive market town of Le Bugue with a good range of shops, supermarkets, banks, pharmacies and a medical centre.

The Tuesday and Saturday morning market of Le Bugue is a good place to test your French. Sample the local cheese and Bergearc wine before making your choice or take a short drive and visit the town of Bergerac itself set amidst its vinyards. The St Emilion and Bordeaux wine regions are a little further to the west.

Both the region's capital town of Perigueux and Sarlat are within easy reach. Explore their medieval quarters with the lovely old buildings housing specialist shops, restaurants and pavement cafes where you can watch the world go by.

The Dordogne is renowned for its gastronomy with its foie gras and truffles famous throughout France. These delicasies are found on the menus of the restaurants which range from Michelin starred establishments to family- run restaurants and farm auberges offering genuine home-cooking based on local ingredients. Most of the restaurants also offer delicious salads and local fish so something for everyone.
