The apartment has three comfortable bedrooms, a very large living / dining area overlooking the entry court. The high ceilings provide lots of wall space to display paintings and prints by local artists. 7 foot high doubleglazed windows overlook the gated entry court below where there are three local artisans whose shops close in the evenings when the courtyard closes to tourist traffic. The main social area of the flat is very open and large with a large fully equipped kitchen – washer/dryer/ dishwasher, microwave, large fridge, breakfast area, etc separated from the living dining area by a serving bar. There are heaters and ceiling fans in most rooms though the thickness of the walls keeps the temperature fairly constant and comfortable. There is a washroom / WC off the large main foyer which is separated from the living / dining area by glass French doors. Two bedrooms are along a corridor leading away from this foyer and front on the entry courtyard. They have 14 ft beamed ceilings and are simply furnished. There is a washroom at the end of this hall with a shower stall and sink. The main bedroom is down a few steps and off a small foyer where there is a separate WC and a separate full bathroom with double sinks. This bedroom is large and has a small art studio off of it. The bedroom windows and a door from the studio form an “L” and embrace the private terrace. This terrace is the only one in the building and so is very private. It has a roll down canopy for shade and privacy, a large table which seats 8 plus, and a gas BBQ. The terrace overlooks an interior courtyard where there is a small omlette and sandwich café populated mostly during lunch. The main entry to the deck is through a large sitting room with French doors, a couch, arm chairs and more of the owners’ large collection of books and CDs. The room is a wonderful quiet escape from those friends who yesterday, you couldn’t get enough of. There are two trail bikes in the apartment as well as maps, tour books, English novels, board games, stereo, CD’s, wifi and cable TV . It is ideal for 4 to 6 adults who want the independence that immediate proximity to cafes shops, galleries and bike trails affords. While there are no cars allowed in the center of town, there is adequate free parking in various lots and squares outside the gates. Rue de La Foire where the property is located is 200 ft. from one of the gates leading out of the historic center.
