Gîtecazal is a pretty village house set on the edge of our small and ancient village. Set within its own gardens, it has lovely open views. Cazalrenoux is a 12th century Bastide village and is surrounded by wonderful countryside to explore - ideal for those that love walking. We welcome children of all ages.

• Accommodation:  Gîtecazal sleeps 6. There is a large open plan kitchen, dining and living room with lovely views. There is 1 Double bedroom with ensuite WC and hand basin, and 1 twin bedroom, both with valley views. There is 1 bedroom with bunks, which looks out onto the gardens. There is a family shower room with hand basin, WC and bidet.

• Utilities:  The kitchen is fully equipped and has a cooker, oven, microwave and fridge-freezer. There is a washing machine, iron and board. All bedding (100% cotton) and house towels are provided.                                 
• Children & Babies:  There is a good supply of books & games for children of all ages.  A travel cot is available (without bedding).  There is a high chair, baby bath, changing mat and plenty of toys suitable for small children.

• Outdoors:  The house has it's own garden for private use with a secluded terrace and BBQ.  There is a picnic area shaded by fruit trees. Priority is given to gîte guests using the salt water pool, which is shared only with us .  There is also a 4.3m trampoline with a safety net, and a swing.

• Extras: There is a Bose iPod docking station.  There is also a CD/MP3 player and a good selection of books.  Free Wi-fi internet access is available.  A change of sheets and weekly cleaning are available for an additional fee. 

• Some Places of interest: Cazalrenoux is within 20 minutes of the medieval town of Mirepoix which has a wonderful market every Monday morning. Carcassonne is a breathtaking medieval city with fairytale turrets and towers.  It's cobbled streets have a wealth of things to explore.  Many truly spectacular Cathare Castles are within easy reach as are some stunning walks.  The local Ski stations are excellent places to visit in the summer months for walking and hiking in the Pyrénées. Les Grottes (caves) Cabrespine, Limousis and l'Aguzou have exceptional galleries of stalagmites and stalactites. Beaches: An hour east takes you to the beautiful Mediterranean coast at Narbonne and further south toward the Spanish border is the picturesque port town of Collioure. Lakes & Rivers: Nearby lakes provide excellent swimming and water sports. You will find canoeing and white water rafting at Quillon and Foix and Limoux. Angling is available at Lac de Montbel and Mountain Angling for trout and salmon at Foix - I’Arget. Riding is available nearby.  There are a number of stables locally offering hourly to whole day treks.  Golf is available just 20 mins from Cazlrenoux. There is an 18 hole golf course at the four star Domaine d’Auraic. Skiing in the winter months is just over an hours drive away. The local ski resort of Mont d’Olmes has 23km of piste in the mountains near Montsegur. The larger Ax les Thermes offers a full range of facilities with pistes for all levels and is 1 hour 15 minutes away. The season begins at the beginning of December through to the middle of April.
