Villa located on a hillside overlooking the village of Durban Corbieres. The villa is brand new and part of a small prestigious development of hillside properties, each crafted to a high quality using local stone.

Features

The property is arranged with an open plan living/dining area with large French doors opening onto the outside area. Double French doors from the master bedroom also open out onto the outside area. The south facing rear garden is provided with a private pool with hardwood decking and BBQ. The outside area provides a panoramic view of the village, ruined chateaux and surrounding vineyards. The villa has been furnished to a high standard.

Open plan living/dining area with French doors leading onto the decking/pool area. Living room equipped with UK satellite TV (terrestrial channels plus general free to air), DVD with selection of DVDs and PlayStation 2.

Kitchen is provided with cooker, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave (washing machine is located in a separate area).

Private pool 5x2.5m with lighting. BBQ area with adjacent decking with a table and 4 chairs (internal dining chairs are also suitable for external use if necessary). 2 sun loungers provided adjacent to the pool with beach towels.

Welcome service available with changeover at end of stay.  Towels and linen provided which will be changed at end of stay (additional cleaning/linen change can be arranged if required at an additional cost).

Children of all ages are welcome, however, please be aware that the outside area possesses an exposed edge to the swimming pool and may be unsuitable for very young children if not supervised.

Bedroom 2 is on a split level and the outside decking is stepped down from the living area, which may cause difficulties for wheelchair users. The property is also located on a hillside, so access to and from the village for persons with restricted mobility is recommended via a car.

The Area

The Mediterranean coastline can be reached within 25 mins via car at the resort of La Franqui. This stretch of the Med provides around 110 miles of coast line with long sandy beaches and rocky outcrops.

Travel

Carcassonne and Perpignan airports are approx 45 mins drive, with Beziers airport approx 1 hour. Toulouse, Montpellier and Girona (Spain) airports are approx 1 hour 45 minutes away. Car hire is essential. Motorail is available from Calais to Narbonne if you wish to travel from the UK with your car without the drive through France.

Local Amenities

A good local supermarket is located in the village, along with a cash point, a boulangerie, a tabac and an open air public swimming pool. A small restaurant is located in the village whilst a further selection of restaurants are present in the surrounding villages and towns (including a nearby Michelin starred restaurant). The property is in a good location for exploring the many local vineyards.

Booking Notes

A booking deposit of 25% is required at time of booking and the full balance is payable 6 weeks prior to arrival. Booking deposits are non-refundable if cancelled less 6 weeks prior to departure. A refundable deposit of £150 is also required to cover any damage.
