Our villa was constructed 4 years ago and is perfect  for a luxury family holiday.Situated in a cul de sac in a unique elevated position in the village of Castelnau d'Aude.Approximately  50 minutes to the beaches of the Mediterranean with possibilities of family outings to water parks, an African " Safari" as well as watersports. The Medieval Cite of Carcassonne (25 minutes by car) is great for all ages. The summer jousting tournaments are really worth a visit as well as the many reasonably priced restaurants, shops and cafes. 

The sleepy village of Castelnau has an epicerie (fantastic bread) post office and  award winning wine producer with tasting. There is a mini play ground ,hard surface football pitch and boulodrome.

Wonderful walks amongst the scented herbs of the garrigue or the canal du midi are moments away. For the more adventurous there is canoeing and cycling by the river aude.5 minutes drive to a supermarket,bank and cash  machine,doctors surgery and pharmacy.10 minutes drive is the thriving town of Lezignan-Corbieres which boasts some superb local fresh foods to buy as well as traditional restaurants and lots more wine tasting! There are also quality take away options (pizza/pasta/cous cous/paella and free range roast chicken).The bustling market every wednesday morning is not to be missed.

The accomodation comprises:

• Large open plan living room  with French doors opening onto rear terrace. Sofa bed, tv/dvd, playstation 2 (bring your favourite games) ping pong table, large extra fridge.
• Fitted kitchen with hob,oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and small dining table. Full range of crockery and utensils for eight.
• 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom both with fitted wardrobes. All laundered linen and towels are inclusive. For stays of more than a week these will be changed for you weekly.
• Bathroom with bath, shower cubicle and seperate WC
• Other features: Tiled pool (with safety cover) ,sun loungers and non slip "beach"  which  enjoys day long sun. Watch the sun go down over the black mountains from the luxury of the 5 seater hot tub.
• Built in large bbq by the pool. Savour the amazing flavour of cooking with old vine stems, we will try to make sure there is always some available.
• Large teak table and chairs shaded by a pergola and trees overlook the Minervois and black mountains 
  The exterior tiled terraces, front and back, comprise a selection of other dining furniture to give more alfresco options.
• Sorry no pets.
• As a courtesy to future guests we ask smokers to refrain from smoking inside the property.

For booking: 25% non-returnable deposit on booking. Full payment + a damage/breakage deposit (£200) required 8 weeks before arrival. Breakage deposit returned at end of stay. Changeover is on Saturday. Arrival 4pm to midnight, checkout 11am.
