Avenue de Rodiez is an elegant house on the edge of the historic town of Entraygues Sur Truyere. This beautiful home overlooks the Lot River with views of the bridge and the town. Built over 100 years ago, Rodiez has been extensively restored and refurbished and offers 3 spacious levels of very comfortable living with modern appointments. From all rooms there are tranquil views of the surrounding countryside and from the rooms at the front, views of the river.The house offers spacious self-catering accommodation including: Ground Floor: Large kitchen, dining room, 1 x double bedroom, luggage room, WC. Backdoor opens to garden. 1st Floor: Living room, 1x double bedroom, 1x twin bedroom, bathroom including shower & WC, additional shower room2nd Floor: 1x double bedroom 1x twin bedroom, large bathroom incl shower & WC, sitting room with kitchenette. The house is surrounded by garden and fruit trees with a number of outdoor leisure areas including a terrace with sundeck loungers, a barbeque and outdoor eating facilities. Central heating to all floors provides ultimate comfort in the cooler months. It would suit a couple or easily accommodate 2 families. The house is a gentle, scenic 10 minute walk along the River Lot to the centre of Entryagues. The town has bakeries, butcheries, a variety of restaurants and cafes, 2 small supermarkets, heated swimming pools, tennis courts, sporting fields and children's play areas. The Lot and Truyere Rivers and surrounding lakes offer a range of leisure activities including fishing, kayaking, canoeing and swimming. The area is excellent for walking and cycling. Food of course plays an important part of life in the area and there are literally dozens of restaurants, including a 3 star Michelin rated restaurant, Michel Bras within 40 minutes of the house. Entraygues' weekly markets sell fresh produce, specialities of the area (foie gras and duck confit) as well as craft products and bric-a-brac. There are a number of good markets in the surrounding villages and towns to browse through. The area is culturally rich and it's an easy drive from Entraygues to the beautiful historic towns of Conques, Estaing, Espalion, Bozouls, St. Eulalie and Roquelaure. There are chateaux, abbeys and churches to explore, some dating back to the 10th and 11th centuries. In winter there are snowfields of the Aubrac and Le Lioran. Follow the rivers and take scenic drives through the gorges of the Lot and Truyere Rivers.
