Converted from the top storey of the smaller barn ­ with a solid floor added for insulation and privacy ­this charming gîte has virtually all its original roof timbers intact. Velux windows make it very light and airy and give views of the surrounding countryside. With one double bedroom, this gîte is ideal for couples, but with the addition of a folding bed in the living area (free on request) will sleep three in comfort. A raised terrace and grassed area at the top of the sloping approach to the gîte, partially screened by trees, overlooks gardens and countryside and enjoys dawn to dusk sunshine. Portable gas and electric heaters combined with excellent roof insulation ensure year-round warmth.
