Place aux Herbes
Nestling in the charming and dynamic village of Saint Pierre Toirac, between the bustling little towns of FIGEAC and CAJARC, our beautifully restored 16th Century Cottage "Place aux Herbes" is the ideal base from which to take a romantic journey through time in “La France Profonde” where lies, seemingly unknown to tourists, the LOT VALLEY. The French talk about the Lot Valley as “La France Profonde”, meaning "Hidden France" …
The cottage has been beautifully restored to sleep 2/5 in great comfort in THREE BEDROOMS: (two double bedded rooms, one twin-bedded attic room).
Each room is beautifully decorated with antiques, and has ample storage space. The first double bedroom has a balcony and also an en-suite wash basin & W.C. The second bedroom is a single / twin bedded attic room. An extra double bedroom, opening onto the terrace on the ground floor, is available during the summer months.
The BATHROOM has a modern spa shower and wash basin. There is an additional separate W.C. Linen and towels are supplied. There are heaters in every room for winter lets...
The spacious and elegant LIVING & DINING ROOM, with its inglenook fireplace has comfortable seating and antique furniture. A television and DVD player are provided. Broadband internet is available.
The KITCHEN is extremely well-equipped with gas cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, kettle and other useful appliances.
The UTILITY ROOM in the pigeonnier has a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron & board. There is a large cave/wine cellar useful for storing.
OUTSIDE: The SOUTH FACING TERRACE sheltered is surrounded by fragrant plants and trees. A BARBECUE is provided, just perfect for those alfresco meals on warm summer evenings and for sampling the local Cahors wines !!!
