Château de Clérac, also known as Château de l'Espie, is just 30 mins north of Bordeaux. It's the ideal get-away for those who want to experience the rich flavors of this extraordinary region. Surrounded by its 22 acres of woods and fields, this impressive building stands testament to days and lifestyles long gone by.

The castle is rented on a self-catering basis; there is a fully functional kitchen with all the modern amenities. The main lounge has widescreen satellite TV, DVD, CD etc, with a library of CDs and DVDs. The chateau has ADSL WiFi and is equipped with a modern PC with printer etc. There is also a separate telephone line, for excluse use by guests.

The castle can comfortably accommodate 15 people (two extra matresses, with linen, can be hired so potentially 17 is possible). There are 7 double bedrooms, most with ensuites. 

The pool is an 11 x 5 m saltwater pool, which is good for the skin and does not hurt the eyes. It complies with all French safety standards.
