Maison Du Puits is a large Charentaise country house tastefully renovated to a high standard with a shared swimming pool (the pool is shared with a 1 bedroom gite at the far end of the grounds). Located within 4 hours of the ferry port of St Malo, Maison Du Puits is only 35 minutes inland from the bustling seaside town of La Rochelle and the sandy beaches of Chatelaillon Plage.

The airports of Bordeaux, Poitiers and La Rochelle are all within 2 hours and there are good links to the A10 and N150.

The accommodation comprises 2 large double bedrooms and a large quadruple bedroom – all tastefully appointed. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in wet room shower, complete with natural Italian slate flooring, toilet and washbasin.

In addition to the ensuite, there is a double height very large luxury house bathroom with multi-head massage shower pod, toilet and washbasin.

Maison Du Puits boasts a large, newly fitted dining kitchen with wood-burning stove, utility room (with washing machine), oven, hob, fridge-freezer and microwave. A side exit leads to the garden, driveway and the rest of the grounds.

To the front of the house is a spacious, well-appointed lounge with feature fireplace and big screen TV linked to English satellite television, DVD and VCR. Next to the lounge is the large formal dining room with marble fireplace and Indian Teak furniture.This can be used as a reading lounge also.

Both reception rooms have large shuttered windows allowing views over the private south facing walled garden and eating area, complete with parasol and barbecue, ideal for sampling the local tipple!
