Located in La Garde Freinet, a historical and picturesque conservation village with narrow streets converging onto a bustling central square full of delightful boutiques, bars and restaurants to suit every taste from local dishes and haute cuisine to pizzas and market fare like takeaway hot roast chicken Provencale (mmmm...)! The interior decoration features terra cotta floors, exposed wooden beams, window shutters and a magnificent fireplace. The property remains refreshingly cool all summer. However it also has a new, fully insulated roof, double glazing and central heating - so its also cozy, warm and quiet in the cooler months. The Mediterranean sea and very popular resorts of Port Grimaud and St Tropez are only 12 miles away.The property as available for rent is laid out over two floors and is accessed from a main entrance door on the ground level with an Entrance Lobby and steps to: 1st Floor: 2 Double Bedrooms : one features twin beds, the other a king-size bed. Laid out in hunting lodge style with large working fireplace, beautiful vaulted ceiling with exposed wooden beams and large french doors leading straight through to a nice BBQ terrace ideal for a sunny breakfast, mid-morning tan or a few good sizzling steaks on the built in solid-fuel barbeque! The views from the terrace sweep through 180 degrees from the craggy mountains west out across open common grounds, hills and back east to the village. Access to the mountain trails, the 'Croix' and the old Saracen Hill Fort is right out of the house! Parking facilities adjacent to the property mean no issues trying to find somewhere to put the car either. La Garde Freinet is an ideally located village, close enough to enjoy the bustle and magnetic draw of St Tropez whilst allowing swift cross-country access, via Gassin and Ramatuelle to the fabulous beaches of Pampellone. Here you can find the jet setting movie stars at Tahiti Beach or you can enjoy the relative peace and rustic charm of L'Esquinade further west. Gigaro is a seaside gem and provides fabulous beach-side fine dining (Le Couleurs Jardin) as well as breathtaking coastal walks within designated National Parkland. North of our house in La Garde Freinet, great wine country beckons from the bottom of the hill and out in all directions. And don't forget the absolutely jaw dropping Gorge du Verdon (Grand Canyon), an easy drive just to the north.
